About This Patient
Dissatisfied with bilateral implant breast reconstructions (done by another provider), this patient sought autologous perforator flap breast reconstruction. She had undergone left chest radiation therapy. Both implants were removed along with scar tissue and capsules and replaced with DIEP free flaps. The patient experienced both cosmetic improvement and relief of symptoms caused by implant associated capsular contracture.
