Given the important role the face plays in our daily lives, it is not surprising that many people are dissatisfied with one or another of their facial features. Our faces reflect our thoughts, moods, feelings and --unfortunately-- our age. Faces often are the first and most obvious part of the body to show signs of aging. In addition to the natural aging process, our faces are constantly exposed to the effects of gravity and the environment. As a result, our tissues become altered and it is not uncommon for us to look older and more tired than we actually feel. Aging of the face is inevitable and, with time the skin of the face and neck loosen. Age, sun exposure, gravity and genetics all contribute to skin changes. As we age, fine lines become wrinkles and gradually deeper folds. The jawline softens into jowls and beneath the chin excess skin starts to sag. It is no wonder that facelifting has become the third most commonly performed facial cosmetic procedure. The scars from a facelift are hidden in the hair and around the ears, so that even men, or women with short hair, can have the procedure performed with excellent results. There are many variations in facelifting procedures including the short-scar facelift, and we will work with you to select the approach that will best restore the vibrant and youthful look you desire. In many cases, Dr. Greenspun will subtly reshape the deeper tissues of the face to rejuvenate the cheeks, jawline and areas around the mouth. Often, facelifting is combined with neck rejuvenation and eyelid surgery to help achieve a balanced, harmonious look. Dr. Greenspun's meticulous attention to detail helps avoid "tell-tale" signs of facelifting.

A forehead lift or "browlift" is a procedure that restores a more youthful and refreshed look to the forehead, eyebrows and upper eyelid areas. Browlift procedures can correct drooping brows and improve the horizontal lines and furrows that make you look angry, sad or tired. The procedure can also tighten the skin of the upper eyelid and correct the wrinkles and lines that develop just above the nose and between the eyes. The lines that develop beside the eyes, those "crow's-feet" lines, can also be addressed with some browlifting procedures. Dr. Greenspun performs several techniques of browlifting including the minimally invasive endoscopic browlift and the Thread Lift™. He will work with you to select the procedure that is most appropriate for your needs. Regardless of the procedure you choose, incisions will be well hidden and almost impossible to see.

Blepharoplasty can rejuvenate puffy, sagging or tired looking eyes by removing excess fat, skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. It may be performed for cosmetic reasons or to improve sight by lifting droopy eyelids out of your visual field. The procedure is usually performed in the office with local anesthesia and can be completed in as little as forty five minutes. The slight scar that results from blepharoplasty can sometimes be hidden on the inner aspect of the eyelid. If the final scar must be placed on the outside of the lid, it heals as a barely perceptible thin line. Blepharoplasty is often combined with other procedures such as a facelift, browlift or BOTOX® to give you a balanced, youthful appearance.

Rhinoplasty is performed to reshape, reduce or augment a person’s nose. Nasal surgery can be done to remove a bump, narrow nostril width, change the angle between the nose and the mouth, or change the overall shape of the nose. Rhinoplasty can also be used to correct the effects of an injury, birth defects, or problems that affect breathing. Results will depend on your nasal bone structure, cartilage structure, facial shape, skin thickness and age. Dr. Greenspun will work with you to achieve the natural look you want. Insurance may cover the cost of rhinoplasty if it is performed for reconstructive reasons or to improve breathing.
A neck lift or chin liposuction can be performed to remove excess fat beneath the chin and tighten loose skin in the neck. These procedures can produce dramatic results in people whose chin and/or neck has sagged with age or after weight loss. Dr. Greenspun will work with you to select the procedure that is most appropriate for your needs. Neck reshaping can be performed alone, but it is often done in combination with a facelift to achieve dramatic results.
Ear surgery is typically performed to set prominent ears closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears. Surgery may help correct “lop ears," "cupped ears" and "shell ears." Otoplasty can be performed even on young children in order to prevent or minimize stigmatization and teasing by their peers. Dr. Greenspun's warmth with his young patients helps to ensure that these procedures take place in an environment that is as reassuring, pleasant and comfortable as possible. Dr. Greenspun is also able to reconstruct ears for patients who are missing them because of injury or other causes..
